            Based on my subject “management information system”, I have gained a lot of knowledge throughout the assignment. In this assignment, every group is required to pick any system in the world and talk about through a video. In this case, my group has chosen a system which is “expert system”. Expert system is known as a piece of software that is programmed by using artificial intelligence techniques. This expert system has the use of databases of knowledge to offer advice or make decisions in such areas in a business or organization. For example, when an employee decides to choose a large product, this expert system would tell and show the employee about the cons and pros of the product. In other words, it would also show the benefit or lost if the product is being chosen by the employee. There are several advantages and disadvantages that can be obtained in an organization when expert system is being used. In the advantages, an expert system could give an expert advice at any time of the day to the employees in the business. Besides that, expert system makes rational decision on any indecisive situation as in it would show the gain or lost, benefits and the pros and cons of the decision that is made. In addition, this expert system could be used as a training aid for the employees to increase their expertise in the business. On the other hand, there are disadvantages of having an expert system. To do an expert system in an organization, it cost a lot of effort and money to do a good expert system. If it does not cost a lot of money, the expert system would not be successful. Moreover, expert system does not learn from its own mistakes unless the users in the organization would constantly give feedback which is part of their ongoing development. This is to ensure that the expert system would not make any mistakes due to the feedback that is given by the users are updated into the system. Thus, this expert system is not as good as having human expert to handle. Besides all the above, this group assignment could not be done without the corporation of all the other members in the group. Each member has sacrificed some of their time to put in some effort in to producing this expert system into a video presentation. Every member has communicated well to each other in order for the video to go well. There are some issues that we have faced during the progress of this assignment as it is hard to manage a time for all group members to be at a spot to record their voice into the video. Therefore, we have to sacrifice our leisure time on Saturday in order to produce this video. Last but not least, every team member has communicated well and not much problems occurred due to every single step of the video is planned greatly.
